5 out of 5 stars Ride 'N Haul   June 1, 2010
Brandon Massoni (Oregon USA)
I have owned this rear rack for a year with use every day of the week. And in rainy Oregon that means that this guy is my rear fender, and now part of my bike lock carrying scheme.

Pros: Works pretty well as a rear fender/but not quite as good as a true rear fender.
If you sling a lock around your seat and fasten it in-between the elastic bands, it makes for a very good way to store a U-lock.
Very sturdy

Cons: It is tough to get on originally, but that is very minor.
You can't really hold anything with it.

3 out of 5 stars price is right , slight mods required   March 16, 2010

not that bad , just pretend its a mud gaurd that can take a little weight. i had 20 lbs on it and it didnt bend . i did install a set screw thru the face of it into the seat post to keep it from turnin , and replaced the bungee cord with some real bungee cords.

4 out of 5 stars Not bad, not perfect...   October 26, 2009
Bryan D. Adams (Misawa, Japan)
I never had any of the problems with it shifting around or the bungee breaking. I used it frequently for a couple years to carry my duffle bag. As long as I made sure my bag was properly secured it worked fine. If I had to carry a duffle bag that was cram packed or a little top heavy, I would use an extra bungee cord just to be safe. In the end it's not bad for the price.

2 out of 5 stars Poor Design   August 18, 2009

It seemed like a good idea, but this item was not designed well. I wish I had read the reviews before buying.

It is very tight on the seat post. Definitely not quick and easy as advertised.

My main issue with this item is the quick release bolt. It is in front of the seatpost right under the saddle. It is also quite large and my legs end up rubbing up against it. Lowering the rack as far as possible helps a bit, but it still in the way of my legs. For this reason and the poor reviews, I'm going to be returning it.

On the pro side, it did feel very sturdy.

1 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money   June 13, 2009

I needed a rack to take my lunch to work and to bring home parcels from the post office. The bungie cord broke the first time I used it. The rack shifts on the bike post. I did use it once to carry a small soft-sided cooler for a long ride, but had to bring extra bungee cords, but the hooks were too big to fit around the metal posts, so it took some effort to make that work. I should've spent more money on a better rack, instead of wasting money on this one.
